A Quick Study of Sarah
It was a nice change to do some quick fire drawing at Brian Gallagher's life session at the United Arts Club last week.
Our model was Sarah, and this is one of my fifteen minute studies from that session.

Dear PJ,
I really love this work!
Cheers, Sadami
Hi PJ
Very nice quick sketch, you do have some pretty amazing life drawings and paintings on your site. How on earth do you manage to find time to illustrate children's books! I attend life classes too usually the max time we have is around 45 mins per pose but a lot of the time its around 20 mins. Next month I will be attending a one off life class and we will have a six hour pose, which I am really looking forward to.
keep up the good work
regards
Rory
Hey Sadami, It's nice to hear from you again. I hope you have been well and working hard.
Many thank for the kind comment
Best regards
PJ
Thanks so much Rory,
Unfortunately I have not been producing books at anything like the rate I would like. I used to spend a day per week at life drawing but I have scaled that back to one afternoon.
I consider it a very important exercise to help with my day to day practice.
Quick studies are extremely useful, but the longer poses can be brilliant, especially if you get into painting from the model.
I'm sure you will get a lot out of your 6 hr session. Post your pix up online, I'd love to see them.
All the best
PJ
