A Desert Storm


Here's another picture from the desert book I am illustrating.
I am trying to leave these paintings less finished than usual to hopefully achieve a more atmospheric result.

    And you've succeeded! The flow of the watercolors accelerates the movement of the scene. I admire especially the the gesture of the rider on our right. Exquisite.

    I love how detailed and still how loose this feels. Definitely gives me the feeling that I'm in the middle of a windstorm.
