Getting back to the launch of The Gift of the Magi and my retrospective on-line exhibition which took place about two weeks ago, I've finally had a chance to put together a few photos from that joyous night.
It was held at Dublin's wonderful No10 venue.
Here are a few photographs from the evening.
There are still some paintings for sale on-line.
Congratulations on so many red dots, and on what looks like a wonderful evening!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Susan

ReplyDeleteFrom a hopeful children's book illustrator
I did not realise it at first, but the cover illustration brought back the feeling of the familiar! This is my favorite Christmas story ever! I read it so many times as a child, but it was in Russian, "Dary Volxvov", that is why the name did not ring the bell. As a child I imagined so many times how she sat on the bed, waiting for her husband. And your illustrations are exactly how I would have seen them! Thank you for this beautiful gift of memory! Will look for your illustrations for my son
ReplyDeleteHi Luba
ReplyDeleteThanks for that kind comment. I'm delighted that you found my version of the Gift of the Magi.
You should also have a look at The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey , it might be a better story for a little boy.
Best wishes
PJ
PS you've got a great website!
